Install or change the label roll in a printer

Load a new label roll into your Brother badge printer, or take out the old one, and check that badges print correctly afterwards.

Before you start

Vizmo prints badges on 62 mm continuous rolls. Use a white roll (Brother DK-22205) for the QL-720NW. Use a black/red roll (Brother DK-22251) for the QL-810W and QL-820NWB.
Other label types, such as die-cut labels, are not supported for badges.
To print a test badge from the portal, you need a role that can print badges, and the printer must already be set up. See Add a printer.
Availability: if this option is greyed out or missing, contact your Vizmo account manager.

Turn the printer off.
Hold the front of the printer and firmly lift the roll compartment cover to open it.
Place the roll in the roll spool guide. Check that the spool arm sits firmly in the spool guide and that the stabiliser slides into the notch on the printer.
Thread the roll through the printer. Line up the edge of the roll with the upright edge of the label output slot, put the first label into the slot inside the compartment, and push it through until its end reaches the mark shown in the printer.
Close the roll compartment cover.
Press the power button to turn the printer on. The end of the roll lines up automatically.

Note: Do not leave printed labels in the printer. They can jam it.

Turn the printer off.
Hold the front of the printer and firmly lift the roll compartment cover to open it.
Hold the roll by its spool arms and lift it out.
Close the roll compartment cover.

Go to Visitors > Visitor Log and open a visit.
In Badge Print History, select Print Badge.
In the Print Badge dialog, choose the kiosk that is connected to the printer, then select Create.
Check the printed badge. The Status column in Badge Print History shows the job as success when it has printed. If it shows error, see the Error column.
