Notifications

Notifications can be used to communicate and alert both the host and visitor.

Global settings

dashboard > Settings > Notifications

These settings can be changed only by Admin.

Enable or disable the relevant settings globally for both visitor and host.


If the settings are disabled here, no notifications will be sent out.
If enabled, make sure all the other relevant settings(visitor type, invite, employee) are enabled.

 

 


Visitor type settings for admin

dashboard > Check in flow > Edit - visitor type > Notifications 

Enable or disable the relevant settings

The changes made here applies to only that particular visitor type. 

 

Employee Notification settings for admin

Dashboard > Directory > Employees > Employee > Edit - Notification channel

Enable or disable notifications for an employee.

Admin and Location Admin have access to change the notification channel of individual  employee from their dashboard.

  

Employee Notification settings for employee

Dashboard > View Profile

If an employee has an active account, then that particular employee can set notification channels from his/her profile by logging into their account.

  

Invite notification settings

Dashboard > Settings > Invites

Enable or disable the notifications.

Changing the settings here will apply to both host (email) and visitor (email + sms).  



Note 1: A visitor can be notified only via SMS, unless they are invited which case they will be notified via email if email is provided.
Note 2: A host can be notified via SMS as well as an email.
