Use Guard Kiosk to record Digital Register entries, and to search for or scan existing entries, at the location the kiosk is set up for.
Before you start
- Guard Kiosk is the Vizmo Kiosk app running as a kiosk of type Guard. An administrator sets the type in the Vizmo portal under Devices > Kiosks when the kiosk is added. The kiosk opens on the Guard home screen.
- An administrator must turn on Digital Registers for the location, and create a register that is switched on (Show) and has a form that is switched on. See Set up and use Digital Registers.
- The kiosk needs an internet connection to save and find entries.
- On an iPad or iPhone, Vizmo Kiosk needs iOS or iPadOS 15 or later.
- Allow camera access when you scan an entry's QR code.
Record an entry
- On the Guard home screen, tap the + button, then tap Add Register Entry.

- Under Select Register, tap the register. A register with no available form cannot be selected.
- Under Select Form, tap the form you want to fill in.

- Fill in the required fields. Enter at least one answer.
- Tap Save and wait for the result. A successful save shows that the entry has been successfully recorded.
The entry is saved to the location this kiosk is set up for. If an approval applies, the entry has its own approval status. Recording an entry does not mean it has been approved.
Find an existing entry
- Tap Registers in the Guard navigation.
- Use the search field and the date, register and form filters to narrow Recent Entries. The date filter offers Today, Yesterday and Custom Range.

- Tap an entry to open its details. Pull down on the list to refresh it.
Open an entry with its QR code
- In Registers, tap the scan icon at the top of the page.
- On Scan register entry QR code, scan the QR code of a saved Digital Register entry.

- Wait while the kiosk shows "Opening register entry...". The entry then opens.
Note: Use the entry QR code printed from the Vizmo portal. The Scan QR Code button on the Guard home screen is for invites, not register entries.
Troubleshooting
- Registers or Add Register Entry is missing. Ask your administrator to check that Digital Registers is turned on for the location.
- No registers are available. Ask your administrator to check that a register and form exist, are switched on and belong to this location, then refresh.
- "Please fill in at least one field before saving". Answer at least one question, as well as every required field.
- "This form template is currently disabled" or "This register is currently disabled". Ask your administrator to switch the form or register back on.
- "Register entry not found". The QR code does not belong to an entry at this location. Check that you are scanning the right code.
- Another error appears, such as "Form definition is missing", a location error, or an error when saving. Contact your administrator and give them the exact message. Check the entry in Registers before you assume it was recorded.
