Setting up static QR code for faster check-in
Navigating to the Static QR code screen
Only the Receptionist and the location admin roles have the
Login to Vizmo dashboard > Settings > Check in
Enable the "Static QR code" setting and save
This creates a new QR code interface which can be saved and can be displayed either on screens or printed copies. This printable version can be seen on the same screen as well.
QR code expiry (in days)
This is a setting made available to improve the security by providing a limited time validity. Though the default is set to "Never Expire", it can be customised.
A warning is displayed, "Using a Static QR-code for visitor check-in can potentially compromise your premises security!"
If at any point of time "Refresh QR code" is pressed, this action invalidates the previously set static QR code.
If the static QR code is refreshed, please make sure to replace the old static QR code with the newly generated static QR code.
Difference between dynamic QR code and static QR code
Dynamic QR code is auto refreshed from the kiosk screen every minute. Where as the static QR code is active until the set expiry duration or refreshed.
Dynamic QR code is more secure as it restricts misuse of the access to your premises by taking a picture of the QR code.
Static QR code is more friendly and allows check-ins for a set time duration.
