An employee account lets an employee sign in to Vizmo Pass to manage their visitors and send invitations. You can enable or disable it for one employee or for several at once. Disabling an account does not delete the employee from Directory.
Before you start
- Your role must allow you to update employees. The tick boxes and the Enable Account, Disable Account and Resend Invite buttons appear only if it does.
- You cannot change your own account with these controls.
- To change another company-wide Admin account, you need the company-wide Admin role yourself. A Location Admin or custom role is not enough.
Enable or disable one employee
- Sign in to the Vizmo portal and select the location.
- Go to Directory > Employees.
- Click the employee to open their details.
- On the Profile tab, switch the Employee Account toggle on or off. The Status line beside it updates.

- Click Save at the top of the panel. Save applies every change you made in the panel, not only the toggle.
Result: you see "Employee details have been updated successfully."
Enable or disable several employees
- Go to Directory > Employees and tick the employees.
- Click Enable Account, Disable Account or Resend Invite.

Each button acts only on employees it applies to:
- Enable Account: employees whose status is Inactive or Disabled.
- Disable Account: employees whose status is Active or Invited.
- Resend Invite: employees whose status is Invited.
A message at the top confirms how many accounts changed.
What the statuses mean
- Active: the account is enabled and the employee has activated it.
- Invited: the account is enabled but the employee has not activated it yet. When you enable an Inactive account, Vizmo emails the employee an invitation. If they do not receive it, select Resend Invite.
- Disabled: you disabled an account the employee had activated. They are signed out and see "Your account has been disabled" when they try to sign in. Enabling the account returns them to Active.
- Inactive: the account is off and the employee never activated it. A newly added employee without an account also shows as Inactive.
The employee stays in the Employees list in every case.
Troubleshooting
- The toggle is greyed out. Your role cannot update employees, it is your own account, or the employee has the company-wide Admin role and you do not.
- "All selected employees already have enabled accounts." (or "disabled accounts") None of the people you ticked needed that change.
- "You are not authorized to enable admin accounts." (or "disable" or "resend invitations to") Every account the button could change is protected: your own account, or a company-wide Admin account when you do not have that role.
- "Employee details have been updated but could not change the account's status." Your other changes were saved, but the account status was not. Try again.
- "Accounts for one or more employees could not be enabled." (or "disabled") Check each employee's status and repeat for those that did not change.
