Use Hide Employee Directory to stop employees from browsing the company directory at a location. The setting applies to the employee portal and the Vizmo Pass app. It does not remove the directory from the admin portal.

Before you start

You need an account that can update the location's settings. The setting applies to one location at a time.

Hide or show the directory

1. Sign in to the Vizmo portal and select the location.
2. Open Location Settings > Location.
3. In the Location Settings card, turn Hide Employee Directory on to hide the directory, or off to show it again.

4. Select Save at the top right. A message reads Settings saved successfully.

What changes for employees

• Employee portal: the Directory menu item disappears.
• Vizmo Pass app: the Schedule and Directory tabs are hidden.

When the setting is off, employees see the directory again, as far as their role allows it.

What does not change

• Admins keep managing employees under Directory in the admin portal. What each admin sees there depends on their role.
• Visitors can still choose any host. To keep individual employees out of the visitor host list instead, see Hide an employee from the host list.

Troubleshooting

• An employee still sees the directory. Ask them to sign in again or refresh the page. Check that you saved the setting for the right location.
