Filter the Visitor Log

Filter the Visitor Log

Use the controls above the Visitor Log table to narrow the list to the visits you care about, such as visits that are still active, waiting for approval or for a particular host. You can also choose which columns to show.

Before you start

  • You need permission to view visitor logs.
  • The Visitor Log shows one day at a time. To look at a longer period, download the log. See Download the visitor log.

Filter the list

  1. Sign in to the Vizmo portal, select the location (or Company View) and go to Visitors > Visitor Log. The columns include Photo, Visitor, Purpose, Host, Status, Check-in and Check-out.

  2. Pick a day with the date picker. Searches and filters apply to the visits on that day, and changing the date resets the filter values.
  3. Search using the search box. It searches Visitor, Host and Purpose.
  4. Click Filter Column and choose what to filter by:
    • Visitor and Host: type part of a name.
    • Purpose: choose one or more visitor types.
    • Status: choose from three groups, described below.

  5. Click Apply.

Result: the table lists only the matching visits. If none match, the table is empty. Remove the filter chip, or pick a different day, to see more visits.

Status groups

  • Identifier Verification: Verified or Not Verified.
  • Visit Status: Active, Checked-out, Visit ended, check-out pending or Overstayed.
  • Approval: Approved, Rejected, Pending or No Response.

Choose which columns to show

  1. Click the gear icon above the table to open Edit Columns.

  2. Tick or untick columns, drag them to change the order, or click Reset to default. Photo and Visitor always stay visible.
  3. To show a field from a visitor type, click Add Column in the same menu. Choose a Visitor Type and the Fields, then click Add.

Add Columns dialog with Visitor Type and Fields

Added columns start hidden. Tick them in Edit Columns to show them. You can show up to three added columns at once. Add Column isn't available in the company view, so switch to a location first.

Your column choices are remembered in the browser you are using. They aren't shared with other people.

Things to know

  • Hiding a column doesn't hide the visit. Columns change what you see, and filters change which visits are listed.
  • The Visitor Logs table on the Dashboard is fixed to today. To look at another day, open Visitors > Visitor Log.
  • For what each column means, see View visitor log details.
