The Visitor Log lists every visit at a location. Use it to see who visited, who they met, whether they were approved, and when they checked in and out. Open a visit to see all of its details.
Before you start
- Your role needs permission to view visitor logs. The Visitors menu appears only if the Visitors product is on for your location.
- To change a visit, your role also needs permission to update visitor logs. Without it, you can view the details but not change them.
Open the Visitor Log
- Sign in to the Vizmo portal and select the location.
- Go to Visitors > Visitor Log.

- Use the date picker to choose the day. The log shows one day at a time.
The Dashboard also shows a Visitor Logs table for today. In the employee portal, go to Visitors > Visitor Logs instead.
What the table shows
- Photo: the visitor's photo. The colour of its border shows the visit status. Hover over the photo to read it: Active, Checked-out, Visit ended, checkout pending or Overstayed.
- Visitor: the visitor's name, email address and company. Visits that came from an invite show (INVITED) after the name.
- Purpose and Host: why the visitor came and who they are meeting.
- Status: icons that you can hover over. One shows whether the visitor's phone number or email address is verified. One shows the approval status, such as All Approvals Completed, No Approvals Required, or an approval that is pending or rejected. A warning icon appears if the visitor's photo has no face in it or could not be processed.
- Check-in and Check-out: the date and time of each.
- Tenant: the visitor's tenant, if you use tenants.
To search, filter or add more columns, see Filter the Visitor Log.
See the full details of a visit
- Select the visitor's row. A panel opens with the visitor's name and status icons at the top.
- Select a tab to see more, as described below.
Details tab
Shows the visit details: purpose, host, the visitor's name, phone number or email address, vehicle number, and the check-in and check-out times. It also shows the company and any extra information your visitor type collects, the visitor's health declaration answers if you use that feature, and the badge print history.

Approvals & More tab
Shows each approval the visit needs and its status.

Activity tab
Shows a timeline of the notifications sent about the visit and of the approval steps. Use Activity type to show All, Notifications or Approvals. Select Show details on an entry for more information, and Load more for older entries.

Check-out Page and Feedback tabs (admins)
Admins also see a Feedback tab with the visitor's answers to your feedback form, or "No feedback available!" if they gave none. If your check-out page collects answers, a Check-out Page tab shows them.
Buttons in the details panel
- Save: saves the changes you made on the Details tab. For what you can change, see Modify visitor log details.
- Add to Blocklist or Remove from Blocklist: see Add a visitor to the blocklist.
- Download Agreement: appears if the visitor signed an agreement. See Download a visitor's agreement.
- End Visit: records that the meeting has ended without checking the visitor out. It appears in the employee portal for the visit's host, and for their managers, when your check-out settings send check-out reminders.
Things to know
- If you open the Visitor Log from the company view, you can read the details of a visit at any location, but you cannot change them.
- Each row also has icons for Check-out, Edit, Delete and Print Badge, depending on your role. Print Badge appears only for visits that have a QR code. See Print a visitor's badge from the Visitor Log.
- To save the log as a file, see Download a Visitor Log.
Troubleshooting
- "No Visitor Logs Found". Check the date you selected, and clear any filters.
- The Visitors menu is missing. The Visitors product may be off for this location, or your role may not include visitor logs. Ask your Vizmo admin.
- The panel has no Save button. Your role does not allow you to update visitor logs, or you opened the visit from the company view.
