Employees normally check themselves in and out with the Employee Pass in Vizmo Pass. If someone forgets, you can check them in, or check them out, from the Vizmo portal. You do both on Vizmo Engage > Employee Logs.
Before you start
- Availability: if this option is greyed out or missing, contact your Vizmo account manager.
- Select the location, then open Vizmo Engage > Employee Logs. The menu appears only if Vizmo Engage is available for your account and your role can view employee logs.
- To check someone in, your role must allow you to create employee logs, and Check-in Using Pass must be on under Vizmo Engage > Settings. See Turn Check-in Using Pass on or off.
- To check someone out or delete a log, your role must allow you to update or delete employee logs.
Check in an employee
- On Employee Logs, click Check-in at the top of the list. If it is greyed out, hover over it. The tooltip "Employee check-in is disabled in the employee log settings" means Check-in Using Pass is off.

- In the Check-in Employee dialog, choose the person in Select Employee.

- Click Check-in.
Result: you see "The employee has been checked-in successfully." The log appears with the current time as the check-in time, and the employee shows as In Office.
An employee can check in only once per day at a location. Otherwise you see "Employee has already checked-in today".
Check out an employee
- Find the log that has no check-out time. Make sure the date selector shows the right day.
- Click the check-out icon on that row. To check out several people, tick their rows and click Check-out (N).
- In the Check-out Employee dialog (or Check-out Selected Employees for several people), click Check-out. Click Keep Employee Log to cancel.

Result: you see "The employee has been checked-out successfully." The log now shows the check-out time and the duration.
The check-out time is the moment you confirm, and it can't be edited afterwards. If some rows in a bulk check-out fail, a warning shows how many succeeded, and its Details link lists the errors.
Delete logs
You can delete only logs that already have a check-out time.
- To delete one log, click the bin icon on its row and confirm with Delete Log.
- To delete several, tick their rows, click Delete (N) and confirm in the Delete Selected Employee Logs dialog.
Deleted logs are permanently removed and can't be restored.
Troubleshooting
- There are no row checkboxes. Your role can't update or delete employee logs.
- There is no check-out icon on a row. That employee is already checked out.
- The Check-in button is greyed out. Check-in Using Pass is off. Turn it on under Vizmo Engage > Settings.
