About Employee Logs

About Employee Logs

Employee Logs in Vizmo Engage is a daily attendance record for the employees of one location. Each log shows when an employee checked in and, once they leave, when they checked out. Vizmo Engage is the part of the portal for tracking employee attendance.

Before you start

  • You need a role that can view employee logs.
  • Availability: if this option is greyed out or missing, contact your Vizmo account manager.
  • Employee Logs is per location. Select a location first, not Company View.

What each row shows

Employee Logs table with date selector, Check-in and Export buttons

  • Photo: the employee's photo. Hover over it to see In Office or Checked-out.
  • Employee: name and email.
  • Department and Designation.
  • Check-in and Check-out: date and time.
  • Duration: the time between check-in and check-out, once the employee has checked out.

How logs are created

  • Employees check in and out with the Vizmo Pass app when Check-in Using Pass is on under Vizmo Engage > Settings.
  • Admins and front-desk staff whose role allows it can check an employee in from the portal using the Check-in button, which works only when Check-in Using Pass is on. They can also check employees out. See Check employees in and out from Employee Logs.
  • An employee can check in only once per day at a location.

Where to find it

Select the location, then open Vizmo Engage > Employee Logs. The menu appears only if your role can view employee logs. For the steps, see View Employee Logs.

Things to know

  • If your role allows exports, an Export button is on the page. Exports include employee name, email, check-in, check-out, total attendance duration, designation and department. See Export Employee Logs.
  • Admins can also check an employee out, or delete a log, from the row icons, or by selecting rows and using Check-out or Delete at the top of the table.
  • Employee logs older than three years are deleted automatically, unless your company sets a different period under the Data Retention Policy. See Set up a data retention policy.
