Check-in Using Pass lets employees check in to and out of the office from the Vizmo Pass app. You turn it on or off for each location.
Before you start
- Check-in Using Pass is off until you turn it on.
- Availability: if this option is greyed out or missing, contact your Vizmo account manager.
- You need a role that can open Vizmo Engage settings. The Save button appears only if your role can update settings. Without it you can view the page but not change it.
Turn Check-in Using Pass on or off
- Sign in to the Vizmo portal and select the location.
- Go to Vizmo Engage > Settings. The page is called Employee Engage Settings.
- Switch Check-in Using Pass on to turn it on, or off to turn it off. Its description reads "Allow employees to check-in and check-out using the Employee Pass."

- Click Save.
Result: you see "Settings saved successfully."
What changes for employees
When it is on
- The Pass tab in the Vizmo Pass app shows the Employee Pass with a Check-in button. After checking in, the button becomes Check-out.

- The Home screen shows a prompt such as "Have you entered the office?" or "Have you exited the office?"

- Front-desk staff and admins can check employees in and out from Vizmo Engage > Employee Logs. Every check-in and check-out is recorded there.
When it is off
- The Pass tab in the Vizmo Pass app is replaced by More. This removes the Employee Pass from every employee's app, not just the check-in button.
- The check-in prompt on the Home screen is hidden.
- The Check-in button in Vizmo Engage > Employee Logs is greyed out. Hover over it to see "Employee check-in is disabled in the employee log settings."
- Existing records stay in Employee Logs.
How employees check in
- In the Vizmo Pass app, tap Check-in on the Pass tab or on the Home screen.
- Scan the check-in QR code for the location. This is the QR code shown on the Vizmo Kiosk, or your printed static QR code.

Note: if you have turned off the dynamic QR code on the kiosk, employees need the static QR code instead.
FAQ
Can an employee check in twice in a day? No. Each employee has one check-in and one check-out per day, based on the location's time zone. After checking out, the Check-in button does not return until the next day.
I cannot find Vizmo Engage > Settings. Vizmo Engage may not be available for your account, or your role may not include access to it. Contact your account administrator.
