Turn the dynamic QR code on or off on Vizmo Kiosk

The dynamic QR code on the Vizmo Kiosk welcome screen lets visitors scan it with their phone to check in. You can show or hide it for each location.

Before you start

  • Your role must allow you to update the location and its settings.
  • The setting applies to one location. Repeat the steps for other locations.

Turn the QR code on or off

  1. Sign in to the Vizmo portal and select the location.
  2. Go to Location Settings > Location.
  3. In the Location Settings card, find Enable Or Disable Dynamic QR On Vizmo Kiosk.

  4. Switch it on to show the QR code, or off to hide it. It is on by default.
  5. Click Save at the top right.

Result: you see "Settings saved successfully."

What visitors see

  • On: the kiosk welcome screen shows "Scan QR" with the QR code.

  • Off: the "Scan QR" heading, the QR code and the prompt to open the link on a phone are hidden. The Have an Invite? button stays. So does the Check-in button, except at locations that only allow invited visitors.

This setting changes only the visitor kiosk. It does not turn off touchless check-in on visitors' own phones.

Check the result

Look at the welcome screen of a kiosk at that location. If it still shows the old state after a short wait, email support@vizmo.in.

FAQ

Does turning it off stop visitors from checking in? No. Have an Invite? stays on the screen, and walk-in visitors can use Check-in when the location is not invite-only.

Does this affect other locations? No. The setting is per location.

Why can't I change it? Your role may not allow you to update settings. Ask an admin.
