How to set a static IP for a printer?

Why is it important to pair a printer with an iPad?

In order for Vizmo to be able to print a badge, it is required for the iPad to be able to talk directly to the printer. Vizmo uses the IP address of the printer on your internal network to instruct the iPad to send the visitor badges right to the printer so that a middleman is not needed.

The following ports should be open between the iPad and the printer within your local network: TCP 9100 (Data – Printing)
The Brother printer only supports connections to 2.4 GHz wireless band. If you are using a dual-band router, your iPad(s) can remain connected to the 5 GHz band and your printer can connect to the 2.4 GHz band.

Wired/Wireless - Set a static IP on the device

Follow these steps to set a static address to the printer:
  1. Type the printer’s IP address into the URL bar of your web browser.

    1. If you’re unsure of what to enter here, talk to your local IT team.
