The Live Map shows a floor plan with your desks, rooms and parking spaces placed on it, so you can see at a glance what is free, booked or in use on a chosen day. It is available in each location and also in the employee portal.

Before you start

• Select a location. The Live Map is not available in Company View.
• The Live Map menu item appears when Desks, Rooms or Parking is turned on for the location. You see only the resource types your role is allowed to view.

Open the Live Map

1. Sign in to the Vizmo portal and select your location.
2. Click Live Map in the left menu.
3. Choose a floor from the floor selector. It shows Select Floor until you pick one.

   

The floor's map appears with an icon for each desk, room or parking space placed on it.

What the colours mean

• Green, AVAILABLE: free on the chosen date.
• Amber, BOOKED: booked, and the person has not checked in.
• Purple, OCCUPIED: booked and checked in.
• Grey, UNAVAILABLE: rooms only. The room cannot be booked on that date.

The legend at the bottom right of the map shows the same colours and a count for each status.

What you can do

• Check status. Use the date picker, the legend and the search box. See Check desk, room and parking status on the Live Map.
• Make a booking. Click New Booking and select an available resource. The button is greyed out until the floor has a layout and at least one free resource on the chosen date. If you do not see it, your role cannot make bookings. See Book a desk or room from the Live Map.
• Edit the floor layout. People who can update floors see Edit Layout. Everyone else sees View Layout. Neither button is shown in the employee portal. See Upload a floor layout.

Before the map has anything to show

• The floor needs a layout image. See Add a floor.
• Your desks, rooms or parking spaces must be turned on and placed on the map. Resources that are switched off or not yet placed are not shown. See Upload a floor layout.

Troubleshooting

• I see "Select a floor to view the live map". Choose a floor from the floor selector.
• I see "No layout for this floor". The floor has no map image yet. Upload one from the floor's settings.
• I see "No mapped resources on this floor". Place desks, rooms or parking spaces on the layout.
• I see "No products are enabled for this location". If you are an admin, turn on Desks, Rooms or Parking for this location. Otherwise, ask your admin to give your role access to them.

  

• I see "Unable to load the live map". Click Try Again.
• Live Map is missing from the menu. Product admins use the Live Map in the employee portal instead.
